Get the extension
Install GhostBump.
Store listings are coming. Until then, download the zip and load it by hand. Takes two minutes.
Firefox
- Download the zip above. No need to unzip it.
- Open
about:debugging#/runtime/this-firefox. - Click Load Temporary Add-on… and pick the zip.
- A purple ghost appears in the toolbar. Click it to hide or show GhostBump on every page.
Firefox forgets temporary add-ons when it closes. Load it again next time, or wait for the store listing.
Chrome, Edge, Brave
- Download the zip above and unzip it somewhere you will keep.
- Open
chrome://extensions(oredge://extensions), turn on Developer mode. - Click Load unpacked and pick the unzipped folder.
- Pin the ghost from the puzzle-piece menu so it stays in the toolbar.
Sites with strict security rules (GitHub, for example) may block the live connection in Chrome. Firefox is not affected.
First five minutes
The pill sits bottom-right on every page: your avatar, the space chip, then the tools. Drag the avatar to move it. Double-click it to shrink the pill to just the avatar.
Keys (never while typing in a page field):
- V look
- P pen
- H highlighter
- T text
- N note
- A arrow
- F fill
- E eraser
- Esc back to look
- Ctrl+Z undo
Post what you drew with the floating Post button. Others hover it to vote, comment, resolve, hide or report.
Sign in from your avatar. A tab opens here with a six-letter code; approve it and the extension carries your name, and your groups appear under the space chip.
Sessions: chip → New session + invite link. Send the link. Whoever opens it is drawing with you, account or not.
